Tala Wall Hanging

Layer upon layer of palm leaf fringe attached to a meticulously woven base piece, the Tala Wall Hanging brings a textural fusion of tribal and tropical to your interior.

Hinting at the current love affair with all things retro, this wall hanging pairs beautifully with plenty of plants and cane furniture. Inspired while visiting our Fair Trade artisan partners in Bangladesh, we drew upon the thatched palm leaf roofs and fences in the villages where our macrame wall hangings are handcrafted. As soon as we spotted this technique, we envisioned it as wall hanging and adapted it to palm fringing attached to a woven base piece, similar to the mats used in their homes. Always keeping our artisans futures in mind, we are mindful to develop products beyond macrame with them, and so the Amua & Tala wall hangings were born.

• Palm leaf may change colour in direct sun, so be sure to keep your wall hanging clear of harsh rays.
  This wall hanging is designed for interior use. As our artisans use palm leaf on the exterior of their homes, you may be able to hang it in an outdoor area however we cannot guarantee longevity under this circumstance.
  To clean, we suggest you vacuum your wall hanging or take it outside on a dry day and shake it to remove dust particles.
• A timber rod is supplied with this wall hanging.
  Or you may prefer something better suited to your interior style such as a copper or brass rod or a piece of rope.
  You will require two hooks, nails or screws for each end.
  This wall hanging weighs approximately 3kgs so be sure to use suitable wall plugs and hooks for this weight.
