If you must wash your jute fabric item, hand wash separately in cool water (warm or hot water will cause jute fabric to shrink) and a small amount of gentle detergent. Leave the jute fabric item in the water for no longer than 2-3 minutes; if it's left to soak for too long it may shrink, fray or come apart. Jute fabrics can be brittle so they must be handled gently. Do not wring or twist the wet fabric. We cannot guarantee the outcome if you choose to wash your jute fabric item.
