Natural Thin Hemp Twine - 2 x 50m balls

Hemp is one the strongest and most durable of all natural fibres, making our twine perfect for gardening, cooking and craft. We supply two x 50 metre balls of hemp twine in a reusable organic cotton drawstring bag, which is handprinted and sewn in a Fair Trade workshop.

Our natural hemp twine is hand spun by Fair Trade artisans in a beautiful village in rural Bangladesh. These women have been spinning hemp by hand since 1982 and are supported by an NGO who ensures they are paid fair wages and have regular work.

The hemp for our twine is grown - without pesticides - in the artisans' local community. A truly sustainable and eco-friendly crop, hemp can produce 250% more fibre than cotton and 600% more fibre than flax using the same amount of land.
